“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’” — Isaiah 6:8 (NKJV)

About Us

Our Vision

A parish where faith comes alive, families are strengthened, and together we become a beacon of hope, peace, and renewal for our island and beyond

Our Mission

Make Christ’s presence visible in our community through worship, service, and fellowship.

Welcome to St. Luke Anglican Church

St. Luke Anglican Church, named after its patron saint, Luke the Physician and Evangelist was originally built in 1830 on land generously donated by Mr. Conrad Pile. Just one year later, a hurricane destroyed the original structure which was subsequently rebuilt in 1832. Over time, the church has undergone extensions, most notably in 1876, which altered its original design.

Nestled in the emerald, green landscape of Brighton and surrounded by cane fields, St. Luke stands as a spiritual and physical landmark in the community. For generations, the Church has been a pillar of support to its surrounding neighbourhoods, faithfully living out its mission:

“To Make Christ’s Presence Visible in Our Community”

St. Luke carries a rich legacy shaped by generations of dedicated members whose faith, service, and devotion have made it a beacon in the valley. Through the years, men, women, and young people alike have offered their gifts—whether in worship, fellowship, or quiet acts of love—each contribution strengthening the life of the church and nurturing a spirit of unity and resilience. It is this shared commitment, passed from one generation to the next, that has built a strong foundation of faith and continues to make St. Luke a vibrant and welcoming spiritual home today.

Each year, during the week of October 18th, the Church celebrates its Patronal Festival with a series of services and community activities. We warmly invite you to join us in fellowship, become a member and participate in one of our many ministries as we continue to carry out God’s work in this part of His vineyard.
