Serving God's Community Parochail Church Council The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is the main decision-making body of the parish, working with the clergy to guide both the spiritual and practical life of the church. It helps to promote worship, mission, and outreach, manages the parish’s finances, cares for the church buildings, and ensures safeguarding responsibilities are met. In short, the PCC represents the congregation, supports the clergy, and works to ensure the church continues to grow and serve the community. The Choir The Choir plays a vital role in worship by leading the congregation in hymns, psalms, and responses, and by enriching the liturgy with sacred music. Through song, the choir helps lift hearts and minds to God, preserves the church’s rich musical tradition, and fosters fellowship among its members. It also serves as a form of outreach, sharing the beauty of Anglican music with the wider community. Outreach Ministry The Outreach Ministry puts the church’s faith into action by serving the needs of the wider community and sharing the love of Christ in practical ways. It reaches beyond the walls of the church to care for the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized, builds relationships with the community, and helps the congregation live out its call to love and serve others. The Prayer Ministry The Prayer Ministry anchors the life of the church in prayer by supporting worship, interceding for the parish and wider community, and offering personal and pastoral prayer support. It encourages members to grow in their prayer life, provides spiritual covering for the church’s mission, and reaches out with God’s love through intercession for local and global needs. Altar Guild The Altar Guild plays a vital role in preparing the church for worship. They care for the altar, linens, vessels, and sacred space, ensuring everything is ready for Holy Communion and other services. Their work, done quietly and reverently, is a ministry of love and devotion to God, helping the congregation experience worship in beauty and order. Altar Servers Altar Servers assist the clergy in worship by carrying the cross and candles, preparing the altar, and helping during the Eucharist. Through their service and reverence, they support the smooth flow of the liturgy and set an example of devotion for the congregation. Usher Guild The Usher Guild provides a ministry of welcome and order during worship. Ushers greet worshippers, distribute booklets, assist with seating, guide the offering and Holy Communion, and help maintain a safe, reverent, and hospitable environment in the church. Building Committee The Building Committee is responsible for the care and upkeep of the church’s property. They oversee maintenance, repairs, and improvements, ensuring that the facilities remain safe, welcoming, and suitable for worship, fellowship, and ministry. IT & Communications The Information Technology & Communication Ministry facilitates the digital sharing of services and messages, ensuring that members remain informed and engaged through the church’s website and social media platforms.
